How does the integration work
Send feature requests to Basecamp as discussions
Most often customers guide your feature roadmap. By sending feature request emails to Basecamp as discussions, you have the opportunity to discuss the details and viability of those features before adding them as tasks under your project.
The content of the email is listed as a discussion under the Basecamp project you choose.
Create To-Do lists and To-Do items from emails
Bug reports require more action than discussion. Such emails can be sent straight away as To-do items under the relevant project.
Assign tasks in Basecamp from within SupportBee
In SupportBee you have the option to even assign a task as it gets sent to Basecamp. This will make sure that top priority bugs and other e-mails requiring urgent action are brought to the attention of the right person immediately.
Keep easy track of progress on customer issues
It is necessary for support agents to keep track of progress on reported issues to be able to keep the customers updated. Support agents can do that right from SupportBee. Every ticket/issue is automatically appended with a comment that has a link to its Basecamp entry. Agents can access it in a single click.
Adding Basecamp Integration to SupportBee
To add the app, click on the 'Add to My SupportBee'. If this is the first app that you are adding, you will have to enter your subdomain and you will be taken to Basecamp to allow access to the API. Once you authorize the app, you will be shown a settings screen where you need to fill in a few details.
